The Rebel Board 48 (Clustered Version A) is an all-in-one design product with LEDs, Drivers, and Control unitized on one circuit board. This approach reduces the cost and complexity of implementing a larger scale LED lighting system. You simply connect DC power and set the light levels. The Rebel Board 48 is a universal LED light board and can be used for a variety of applications.
Dimensions: 1 ft square (304mm x 304mm x 22mm) Lumen Output: Maximum comfortable continuous output is approximately 5,760 Lumens with Rebel Cool White LXML-PWC1-0100 powered at 400mA in ambient temperatures of 80°F. Board temperatures will be held below 65°C (140°F). This configuration renders the minimum usable equivalent light of 400 watts of incandescent bulbs. LED Color Circuits: The Rebel Board 48 has 4 independently controlled color circuits. These 4 circuits are each represented by one LED at each cluster (see cluster at right). We have 12 clusters evenly spaced through the board. This gives you great color mixing. Drivers: 16 Linear constant current drivers. Main power transistor rated up to 5 Amp. Recommend setting 400 to 800mA. LED Control: Drivers can be modulated by on-board or modulation by an external controller. Push Button Hand Control: For those who want a very simple product, you may use pushbutton to increase or decrease only one of the four color channels. Settings are remembered are stored and used each time the unit is powered. These incremental setting allow you to dial in the exactly color you need or conserve energy by turning down the intensity if you don't need to full power of the entire panel. Toggle Hand Control: There is also the option of a single switch to electronically turn the entire unit off an on (shown here in green). Use this feature for controlling several panels at once when you don't want to disconnect main power. Power Input: You may independently supply power to each of 4 color channels. Power Consumption: Approximately 7 amps total at 12 volts (84 watts). Board can also be configured for 24 volt operation. Linkable Configuration: The boards can be aligned in an array and linked together for expansive light panels. Some restrictions do apply and expansion size depending on current setting and number of LEDs on each board. Cooling Control: The two on-board processors each separately run two fans. Cooling activity is based on active temperature measurements. Software keeps the board within a normal operating temperature. In the event of a cooling system failure, LEDs output is reduced (with on-board LED control). For those customers using only 2 circuits (out of 4) you will not need fans at normal room temperatures with adequate ventilation. The fans can be placed on top or bottom of the board based on the function and aesthetics requirements of the application. With our product, you attached 12 volts and turn on the unit. No need to fuss around with drivers and wires. Ideally you'll want to place this unit inside a housing that suits your intended purpose giving only a minimum of your attention to the electronics.
